Waterside Cottage is a cosy, comfortable and well-equipped cottage, located in Winewall, a village on the edge of Colne. It’s an ideal base to explore the local area including Colne Town, Pendle Hill, Wycoller Country Park and Trawden. Only a stones throw away are the Yorkshire Dales, Brontë Country and the Forest of Bowland. Lancashire has so much to offer.
There’s a range of pubs, restaurants and shops, with the nearest family and dog friendly pub, just at the end of the private road on which Waterside Cottage sits. Welcome to our happy place.
The space
The property sits on a very quiet, private road where there is on street parking available for a small/medium sized vehicle. There is also a public car park just 2 minutes walk from the cottage where there is plenty of space if needed.
On the ground floor is a lounge with wood burner, dining room and well-equipped, refurbished kitchen. The first floor has a twin bedroom and shower room which has a walk in rain shower. On the second floor is a double bedroom with Velux windows to the rear.
Outside to the front there’s an open grass area overlooking Colne Water and an enclosed patio space at the rear with garden furniture for those who enjoy outside dining. Please note, the rear patio space is the right of way for several other neighbouring properties.
There is a no smoking policy in our property. We are dog friendly, welcoming one dog free per booking.
On booking a stay at Waterside Cottage, we will cross check our calendar before confirming. We aim to do this as quickly as possible after receiving your request.
On street parking is available for a small/medium sized vehicle in front of the cottage, larger vehicles can park for free across the bridge in the public car park. Please be thoughtful of our neighbours when parking.
Trawden Forest Community Library and Shop
A little gem just 15 minutes walk or less than 5 minutes by car. Delicious variety of cakes on offer, every day essentials and such lovely staff - a must visit for any visitor.
Old Rock Home and Gift Shop
A family run, rural boutique, stocking a range of beautiful homewares, clothing, ceramics, gifts and accessories. Open Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Rental is from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival until 10:00 am on the day of departure.
There is a strictly no smoking policy in the cottage.
We accept one well behaved dog free of charge. Whilst your pet is welcome at Waterside Cottage, please do not leave them unattended in the cottage at any time. We request that dogs do not go upstairs.
A deposit of 20% of the total cost is payable at the time of booking and is fully refundable up to 3 weeks before the start of the rental. The balance will be payable 3 weeks before your arrival. Non payment of the balance of the rental by the due date shall be deemed as cancellation of the contract by the guest. Bookings made less than 3 weeks prior to commencement of the rental are subject to the total cost payable at the time of booking. Payment can be made by online bank transfer. Details supplied on invoice at the time of booking.
Any cancellation should be made in writing to bookings.35property@yahoo.com. Cancellations prior to 3 weeks will incur no charge. On receipt of cancellation within 3 weeks of arrival, we will refund any payments made except for the deposit. On receipt of cancellation within 7 days of arrival, you will be liable for 50% of the total cost of the booking. Guest of 35 recommends guests take out Holiday Insurance Cancellation cover as a precaution for unforeseen circumstances.
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number as agreed at the time of booking.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
The guest is required to notify us in the event of any breakages or damage caused to the property or contents. Breakages or damages must be paid for.
All bed linen, towels and tea towels are supplied. For stays of 14 nights or more, a mid-stay clean and change of linen, towels and tea towels will be arranged. A mid-stay clean and change of bed linen, towels and tea towels can be arranged for guests staying for between 8-13 nights, but this will incur an additional charge of £50.
Hot water, heating and WiFi are included in the cost of the rental.
